THE RENEWED COVENANT

Hebrews 8:8-12 is a DIRECT quote of Jeremiah 31:31-34

For finding fault with them, He says, “See, the days are coming,” says יהוה, “when I shall conclude with the house of YISRA’EL and with the house of YEHUDAH a renewed covenant.
Ivrim/Hebrews 8:8 (ISR98)

This HAS NOT yet happened. Yah found fault with the people, not the covenant.

Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Mitsrayim, because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them,” says יהוה
Ivrim 8:9 (ISR98)

The writer of the book of Hebrews, which seems to be Sha’ul/Paul, is telling us here that this will be AFTER the house of YISRA’EL and with the house of YEHUDAH are reunited as one.

“Because this is the covenant that I shall make with the house of Yisra’ĕl after those days, says יהוה, giving My laws in their mind, and I shall write them on their hearts, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.
Ivrim 8:10 (ISR98)

At this point, the house of Isra’el is being referred to as one again … Ya’akov/Isra’el has been made whole. This is evident by what the next verse says.

“And they shall by no means teach each one his neighbour, and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know יהוה,’ because they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.
Ivrim 8:11 (ISR98)

IF we are having to still read the Word of Yah/Bible, then the Word is not yet written on our hearts. We are still learning and will continue to learn more until Y’shua HaMashiach returns.

“Because I shall forgive their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawlessnesses I shall no longer remember.”
Ivrim 8:12 (ISR98)

This verse is speaking of those who believe that once they are SAVED, their sin no longer counts … this is considered by Yah to be LAWLESSNESS aka TORAHLESSNESS.

“Not everyone who says to me, Master, Master!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants. On that Day, many will say to me,Master, Master! Didn’t we prophesy in your name? Didn’t we expel demons in your name? Didn’t we perform many miracles in your name?’ Then I will tell them to their faces, `I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’
Mattityahu/Matthew 7:21-23 (CJB)

There is only one way to know Yah and just like a parent in disciplining a child … there are rules to live by. This is why we are to keep Torah.

“Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Mosheh, in whom you have set your expectation. For if you believed Mosheh, you would have believed Me, since he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how shall you believe My words?”
Yochanan/John 5:45-47 (ISR98)

Here Y’shua is telling us that he is the one that told Moshe these things … Remember when Kefa/Peter and others saw Moshe and Elijah speaking with Y’shua? That seems to be what was happening, Y’shua may have been speaking to both Moshe and Elijah in their own time.

The church does not like to teach this because it goes against what they want to believe which makes the teachers of the church false prophets/anti messiahs. This is most manifested in teaching that we are in the Olive Tree, yet not in the Covenant. The Olive Tree is the whole house of Isra’el and if you are part of Isra’el, then you must participate in the Covenant with Isra’el or you are a fraud. You cannot have it both ways.

‘See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, when you obey the commands of יהוה your Elohim which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commands of יהוה your Elohim, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other mighty ones which you have not known.
D’varim/Deuteronomy 11:26-28 (ISR98)

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the death of the Master until He comes. So that whoever should eat this bread or drink this cup of the Master unworthily shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Master. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup. For the one who is eating and drinking unworthily, eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Master. Because of this many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.
1 Corinthians 11:26-30 (ISR98)

When you drink that cup, you are accepting the blessings and the curses, NOT JUST the blessings. This cup also is your agreement that you are in the covenant and will abide by His judgment. Judgment does not go away because we are his people but we are more accountable as we represent his kingdom. To say something contrary to what Yah has stated makes us false witnesses or false prophets.

We cannot claim the benefits of the covenant if we claim we are not in it. So how can anyone honestly believe that He is going to honor rebellion? How can He when everything He is manifests order? Why would we want to serve an entity who constantly caved in to our desires even when they do us harm?

And taking the cup, and giving thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. “For this is My blood, that of the renewed covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins. “But I say to you, I shall certainly not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on till that day when I drink it anew with you in the reign of My Father.” Mattityahu 26:27-29 (ISR98) For I received from the Master that which I also delivered to you: that the Master יהושע in the night in which He was delivered up took bread, and having given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat, this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the renewed covenant in My blood. As often as you drink it, do this in remembrance of Me.”
1 Corinthians 11:23-25 (ISR98)

If you drink this cup using this well known passage that Sha’ul/Paul wrote, then you are entering into the Covenant with Isra’el and Yah. By doing so you are declaring you are no longer gentiles, so why do people still want to claim to be citizens of another government instead of the Father’s Kingdom? This is constantly renouncing your citizenship, so what rights do you have? “Depart from me, I never knew you” is Y’shua saying that you are not part of his Father’s Kingdom but are part of another country. Dual citizenship is not allowed in Yah’s Kingdom.

Think not that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets. I am not come to destroy them, but to fulfill them. For truly I say unto you, Till heaven and earth perish, one jot or one tittle of the Law shall not escape, till all things be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall observe and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Mattityahu 5:17-19 (GNV) “For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make stand before Me,” declares יהוה, “so your seed and your name shall stand. “And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” declares יהוה. “And they shall go forth and look upon the corpses of the men who have transgressed against Me. For their worm shall not die, and their fire not be quenched. And they shall be repulsive to all flesh!” Yesha’yahu/Isaiah 66:22-24 (ISR98)

As Y’shua said – if heaven and earth pass away, so does his word. However Yesha’yahu describes events which occur after the renewal and we still have to appear before the King, every week plus once a month forever and we come and go from the city. If this were heaven and hell as so many theologies interpret this passage to proclaim then we would have to go through hell to get to heaven, every week.

Even with children things do not go smoothly. Sibling rivalry is a constant throughout history, which can sometimes lead to major conflicts. Still there is hope for unity.
