What Is The Synagogue Of HaSatan?

And to the angel of the church of Smyrna write: These things saith the First and the Last, who was dead, and is alive: I know thy tribulation and thy poverty, but thou art rich: and thou art blasphemed by them that say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Chazon/Revelation 2:8-9 (DRA)

And to the angel of the assembly in Pergamos write: These things says he that has the sharp two-edged sword: I know where thou dwellest, where the throne of Satan [is]; and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in the days in which Antipas my faithful witness [was], who was slain among you, where Satan dwells. Chazon 2:12-13 (DARBY)

“Write to the angel of the church in Philadelphia: The Holy One, the True One, the One who has the key of David, who opens and no one will close, and closes and no one opens says: 8 I know your works. Because you have limited strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name, look, I have placed before you an open door that no one is able to close. 9 Take note! I will make those from the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews and are not, but are lying—note this—I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and they will know that I have loved you.” Chazon 3:7-9 (HCSB)

Synagogue συναγωγή (G4864) Sunagogee – a congregation or assembly pertaining especially to Jews. The idea of this word is like a school or a place of instruction. This description would apply to any group claiming to be in the Covenant that Isra’el is in with Yah. Therefore an adversarial teaching would make such an assembly/congregation a synagogue of satan. Do not suppose that I have come to subvert the law or the prophets: [I have come] not to subvert, but to fulfill. For verily I say to you, that until heaven and earth shall pass away, one iota or one letter shall not pass from the law, until all shall be fulfilled. Therefore whoever shall break one of these small commands and shall so inculcate on the children of men, shall be called little in the kingdom of heaven: but every one that shall do and teach [them], shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Mattityahu/Matthew 5:17-19 (Murdock NT) So anyone who speaks against the Torah and the Prophets is heading a synagogue of satan.

Throne θρόνος (G2362) thronos – thron’-os – From θράω thraō (to sit); a stately seat (“throne”); by implication power or (concretely) a potentate: – seat, throne … this is pertaining to Chazon 2:12-13 above. Let no one deceive you in any way, for the Day will not come unless the rebellion comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the one destined to be destroyed. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in the Temple of God, proclaiming himself that he is God. Don’t you remember that when I was still with you I was telling you these things? And you know what now holds back, for him to be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already operating; only there is one who holds back just now, until he is taken out of the way. Then the lawless one will be revealed. The Lord Yeshua will slay him with the breath of His mouth and wipe him out with the appearance of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is connected to the activity of satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with every kind of wicked deception toward those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God sends them a delusional force, to lead them to believe what is false, so that they may be judged—all those who did not believe the truth but delighted in wickedness. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 (TLV)

Y’shua, Sha’ul, and the other emissaries clearly define righteousness in the B’rit Chadashah/New Testament as DOING Torah. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Mattityahu 7:21-23 (NIV) Notice Y’shua constantly says that it is the will of the Father that we should be pursuing, not any other agenda. The Master, nor anyone else, has any authority to change a single thing the Father has stated; to do so is an act of TREASON against the Government/Kingdom of Yah.

Then the scribes and Pharisees came to Yahshua from Jerusalem, saying, Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread. But answering He said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of YAHWEH on account of your tradition?” For YAHWEH commanded, saying, “Honor your father and mother,” and, “The one speaking evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.” But you say any one who says to a father or to a mother, “My offering is what ever you have gained by me,” then he does not need to honor his father or mother. And in no way he honors his father or his mother. And you annulled the command of YAHWEH on account of your tradition. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy concerning you, saying “This people draws near to Me with their mouth, and with their lips honor Me; but their heart holds far off from Me. But in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the command-ments of men.” Mattityahu 15:1-9 (HRB)

So many like to pile on the Scribes and the Pharisees but do not want to look in the mirror and examine themselves. The tradition of the elders is not the Torah Moshe gave Isra’el, as the Torah is the Command of Elohim. Every time someone tells us we can do something other than the Instruction given at Mount Sinai, we are applying our own man-made traditions. By this account, who are the modern day equivalents of the Scribes and Pharisees? Are they not those who claim that the Torah has been done away with in favor of GRACE ONLY? Ironically the Eternal shows no favor/grace to the disobedient and rebellious. Calling whatever we want as “Serving the Most High” is vain/worthless/empty as it is meaningless in His eyes.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: ye cannot partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons. 1 Corinthians 10:21 (ASV) “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.” Mattityahu 6:24 (HNV) Once again we are reminded we cannot sit under two separate systems/governments. Dual citizenship is not allowed for those entering into the Renewed Covenant with Isra’el and Y’hudah. This Covenant has NOTHING to do with Christianity or Judaism … but with His, the Father’s, people. This ruler-ship system has only ONE Monarch who is not elected and cannot be bribed. There is nothing democratic/democracy about the Kingdom of Yah.

“Rabbi, which of the mitzvot in the Torah is the most important?” He told him, “’You are to love ADONAI your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.’ This is the greatest and most important mitzvah. And a second is similar to it, ‘You are to love your neighbor as yourself.’ All of the Torah and the Prophets are dependent on these two mitzvot.” Mattityahu 22:36-40 (CJB) How many realize the Teacher is comparing the above verses to the following passages: I am the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before my face. D’varim/Deuteronomy 5:6-7 (LXX-B) and ‘You shall not covet [that is, desire and seek to acquire] your neighbor’s wife, nor desire your neighbor’s house, his field, his male servant or his female servant, his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.’ D’varim 5:21 (AMP) The first and last of the Commandments/Words encompass all the remainder of the Instructions. There are specific Commandments for all no matter where we are; while others are for certain individuals, or only in the Promised Land. Shabat is for all of us … no matter where we are. Sin sometimes is in not acknowledging that we have transgressed the Almighty’s boundaries. Lying about what is sin, does not make it go away … but compounds the violation.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 (ESV) The abominable teaching of the immortal soul has mislead so many into believing they go to heaven when they die. We are not alive in any WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM without BLOOD AND BREATH … this is TORAH. Tradition has allowed this deception to permeate so many peoples beliefs, in the plan of the Eternal. There will be no existence for anyone dead except by being resurrected by the only one who can do so. This is the same one who gave life back to Y’shua. This is Yah the Father of all creation. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This one was in the beginning with God. All [things] came into being through him, and apart from him not one [thing] came into being that has come into being. In him was life, and the life was the light of humanity. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. … The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Yochanan/John 1:1-5, 14 (LEB)

“Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in Elohim, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many staying places. And if not, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I shall come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, you might be too. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” T’oma said to Him, “Master, we do not know where You are going, and how are we able to know the way?” יהושע said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father too. From now on you know Him, and have seen.” Philip said to Him, “Master, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” יהושע said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father, and how do you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak from Myself. But the Father who stays in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, otherwise believe Me because of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he shall do also. And greater works than these he shall do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My Name, that I shall do, in order that the Father might be esteemed in the Son. If you ask whatever in My Name, I shall do it. If you love Me, you shall guard My commands. And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever – the Spirit of the Truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him, for He stays with you and shall be in you. I shall not leave you orphans – I am coming to you. Yet a little while, and the world no longer sees Me, but you shall see Me, because I live, and you shall live. In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.” Yehuḏah – not the one from Qerioth – said to Him, “Master, what has come about that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” יהושע answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him. “He who does not love Me does not guard My Words. And the Word which you hear is not Mine but of the Father Who sent Me. These Words I have spoken to you while still with you. But the Helper, the Set-apart Spirit, whom the Father shall send in My Name, He shall teach you all, and remind you of all that I said to you. Peace I leave with you – My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming to you.’ If you did love Me, you would have rejoiced that I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, that when it does take place, you shall believe. I shall no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he possesses none at all in Me, but, in order for the world to know that I love the Father, and that as the Father commanded Me, so I am doing. Rise up, let us go from here.” Yochanan 14:1-31 (ISR98)

The verses above (in blue) declare that Y’shua is expressing the concept that when he speaks, it is the Word of Yah being manifested through him. Therefore, rejection of the information given to Moshe for Isra’el is equivalent to rejecting Y’shua. As before, the Master declares he does not do his own works but his Father’s (in green) Based on this statement; which the Teacher frequently makes, he does not contradict or nullify the Most High’s decrees. Everything the Son does is with the backing of Yah only because the Son does not contradict his Father. So whose commands are we to keep/guard if they are the Father’s Words … then also who spoke to Moshe?

If the Son always has to obey the Father, then why do so many believe there will not be any rules in heaven? So – if the Son’s Commands are one and the same as the Father’s, then why do people believe they can DO lawlessness and be blessed? Is this not the definition of the Synagogue of Satan? So how many of these Synagogues are there currently in the world? Point to ponder and you better, for your own good, for we are all sinners saved by GRACE/FAVOR and it has a limitation tied to it.

Shalom Aleichem!
