Are Ewe HIS Wife?

“The days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will make a new promise to Israel and Judah. It will not be like the promise that I made to their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of Egypt. They rejected that promise, although I was a husband to them,” declares Yahweh. “But this is the promise that I will make to Israel after those days,” declares Yahweh: “I will put my teachings inside them, and I will write those teachings on their hearts. I will be their Elohim, and they will be my people.” Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 31:31-33 (NOG)

According to Yah’s statement to the Cohen/Priest Yirmeyahu, the wife is Isra’el and will never be anyone else. This is the New Testament/B’rit Chadashah so many claim they are part of. A disobedient wife receives a get/divorce as her husband will not allow their marriage contract to be altered after their wedding. Do not deceive yourself in thinking that He will not divorce His wife if necessary. This is what Y’shua is referring to when he says “depart from me, I never knew you”. If we do not know the Torah, then we do not even know what we have agreed to as a wife. How many would involve themselves in such a relationship, being ignorant of the husbands expectations?

And as they did eat, Jesus took the bread, and when he had given thanks, he brake it and gave it to them, and said, Take, eat, this is my body. Also he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, gave it to them: and they all drank of it. And he said unto them, This is my blood of that new Testament which is shed for many. Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine until that day, that I drink it new in the kingdom of God. Mark 14:22-25 (GNV) This is an agreement by the woman to accept the man’s proposal. Not discerning this is what is happening when anyone participates in the eating of the bread and drinking of the cup, this is what Sha’ul/Paul warns the Corinthians about.

Be ye imitators of me, as I am of the Messiah. Moreover I commend you, my Brethren, that in all things ye are mindful of me, and that ye hold fast the precepts as I delivered them to you. And I would have you know, that the head of every man is the Messiah, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of the Messiah is God. 1 Corinthians 11:1-3 (Murdock) For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you—that the Lord Yeshua, on the night He was betrayed, took matzah; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you. Do this in memory of Me.” In the same way, He also took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in memory of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. But a man must examine himself, and then let him eat of the bread and drink from the cup. For the one who eats and drinks without recognizing the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and quite a few have died. For if we were judging ourselves thoroughly, we wouldn’t be coming under judgment. But when we are judged, we are being disciplined by the Lord so that we might not be condemned along with the world. 1 Corinthians 11:23-32 (TLV)

Anyone who drinks the cup is stating they are entering into this marriage and must abide by the grooms proposal. This is why anyone who does not understand what the drinking of this cup signifies, should NEVER drink it. For when we drink from this cup, we are declaring that we accept the marriage proposal in full. Keep in mind the grooms proposal are his Father’s words, not his own. Remember how many times Y’shua states this? So if one does not know what the Father’s words are, they should not be accepting the grooms offer.

“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like 10 virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom. Five of them were foolish and five were sensible. When the foolish took their lamps, they didn’t take oil with them. But the sensible ones took oil in their flasks with their lamps. Since the groom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. In the middle of the night there was a shout: ‘Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps. But the foolish ones said to the sensible ones, ‘Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’ The sensible ones answered, ‘No, there won’t be enough for us and for you. Go instead to those who sell, and buy oil for yourselves.’ When they had gone to buy some, the groom arrived. Then those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut. Later the rest of the virgins also came and said, ‘Master, master, open up for us!’ But he replied, ‘I assure you: I do not know you!’ ” Mattityahu/Matthew 25:1-12 (HCSB)

Why did the five maidens not have sufficient oil? The answer is provided by Y’shua in his most extensive teaching account. The following section is part of this account: You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Mattityahu 5:14-19 (NKJV) Note that the Master points out that our good works are for the praise of the Father. To many people do not pay attention to what the Teacher himself says about who he is, in regard to Yah.

Who does find a capable wife? For she is worth far more than rubies. The heart of her husband shall trust her, And he has no lack of gain. She shall do him good, and not evil, All the days of her life. She shall seek wool and flax, And with delight she works with her hands. She shall be as the ships of Tarshish, She brings in her food from afar. She also rises while it is still night, And provides food for her household, And a portion for her girls. She shall consider a field and buy it; From her profits she shall plant a vineyard. She shall gird herself with strength, And strengthen her arms. She shall taste when her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out by night. She shall stretch out her hands to the distaff, And her hand shall hold the spindle. She shall extend her hand to the poor, And she shall reach out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household, For all her household is dressed in scarlet. She shall make tapestry for herself; She is dressed in fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land. She shall make fine linen and sell them, And shall give girdles for the merchants. Strength and splendour are her garments, And she rejoices in time to come. She shall open her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the Torah of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children shall rise up and call her blessed; Her husband too, and he praises her: “Many daughters have done nobly, But you have risen over them all.” Loveliness is deceptive And prettiness is vain, A woman who fears יהוה is to be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates. Mishlei/Proverbs 31:10-31 (ISR98)

The above passage is describing a proper wife in her characteristics and behavior. A wise man will seek a mate based on this pattern. We should not deceive ourselves by applying this only to the female gender. One of the most interesting aspects of the human being is that our Creator designed us with two different functions. How many males have trouble considering themselves to be part of the wife of the Eternal? Let us examine one of the unique differences between the two genders. Women only possess the female X chromosome and cannot determine the sexual capabilities of their children. However men possess both the male Y and female X chromosomes and their seed determines what the physical attributes of their offspring will be. So why do males have such trouble dealing with this fact of nature? If men are also part of the bride, then why do some mistreat and abuse those of the female physical gender? Using this criteria, we get our physical capabilities from our fathers; who are also containers for the two genders. Our mothers have no control over whether we develop into male or female in her womb. Contemplate that daughters get part of their female characteristics from their father. Sons do not derive any male attributes from their mother. Something to think about … oy vey? This does not deny that variations do occur outside of this pattern, most are external factors coming into play.

Consider the following, using the previous paragraph as a gauge: Then God said, “Let us make humanity in our image to resemble us so that they may take charge of the fish of the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the earth, and all the crawling things on earth.” God created humanity in God’s own image, in the divine image God created them, male and female God created them. B’resheit/Genesis 1:26-27 (CEB) And Yahweh God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man. While he slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up {the flesh where it had been}. And Yahweh God fashioned the rib which he had taken from the man into a woman and brought her to the man. And the man said, “{She is now} bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh; {she} shall be called ‘Woman,’ for {she was taken} from man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall cling to his wife, and they shall be as one flesh. B’resheit 2:21-24 (LEB)

Using the passages of Scripture from the previous paragraph, only the male could provide both genders in human beings; therefore the woman – being entirely female in her make up, had to be derived from the male. If our heavenly Father is our husband, then as His wife, what are our spousal expectations? He states this clearly in the instructions given to Moshe at Mount Sinai. Maybe disgruntled wives (this includes the male who is part of the bride) need to examine the marriage contract that is presented to them before marrying the man. How many drink the cup and never know what the contract says? Would this not be a foolish wife?

Hear the Word of YAHWEH, O nations, and declare in the coastlands far away, and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him and keep him, as a shepherd his flock. For YAHWEH has redeemed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of the one stronger than him. And they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and be radiant over the goodness of YAHWEH, for grain, and for wine, and for oil, and for the sons of the flock and the herd. And their life shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not continue to languish any more. Then the virgin shall rejoice in the dance, both young men and elders together. For I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them and make them rejoice from their sorrow. And I will fill the soul of the priests with fatness, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says YAHWEH. So says YAHWEH, A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing, bitter weeping: Rachel weeping for her sons; she refuses to be comforted for her sons for they are not here. So says YAHWEH, Hold back your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears. For there will be a reward for your work, says YAHWEH, and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope for you in the end time, says YAHWEH, that your sons will come again to their own territory. Hearing I have heard Ephraim moaning over himself, saying, You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bull not broken in. Turn me, and I shall be turned; for You are YAHWEH my Elohim. For after I had turned away, I repented; and after I knew, I slapped on my thigh. I was ashamed; yea, I even blushed, because I bore the reproach of my youth. Is Ephraim My dear son? Or is he a delightful child? For as often as I spoke against him, I will earnestly remember him still. So My bowels are groaning for him; surely, I will have pity on him, declares YAHWEH. Set up road marks for yourself; make sign posts for yourself. Set your heart toward the highway, even the way you went. Turn again, O virgin of Israel; turn again to these cities of yours. Until when will you turn to and fro, O faithless daughter? For YAHWEH has created a new thing in the land: a woman shall enclose a man. Yirmeyahu 31:10-22 (HRB)

“Say to your brothers, ‘Ammi [My People]!’ and to your sisters, ‘Ruchamah [Pitied]!’ Rebuke your mother, rebuke her; for she isn’t my wife, and I’m not her husband. She must remove her whoring from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts. Otherwise, I will strip her naked and place her as she was the day she was born, make her like a desert, place her like a dry land and kill her with thirst. I will have no pity on her children, for they are children of whoring — their mother prostituted herself, she who conceived them behaved shamelessly; she said, ‘I will pursue my lovers, who give me my food and water, wool, flax, olive oil and wine.’ Therefore, I will block her way with thorns and put up a hedge so she can’t find her paths. She will pursue her lovers but not catch them. She will seek them but won’t find them. Then she will say, ‘I will go and return to my first husband; because things were better for me then than they are now.’ For she doesn’t know it was I who gave her the grain, the wine and the oil; I who increased her silver and gold, which they used for Ba‘al. So I will take back my grain at harvest-time and my wine in its season; I will snatch away my wool and flax, given to cover her naked body. Now I will uncover her shame, while her lovers watch; and no one will save her from me. I will end her happiness, her festivals, Rosh-Hodesh, and shabbats, and all her designated times. I will ravage her vines and fig trees, of which she says, ‘These are my wages that my lovers have given me.’ But I will turn them into a forest, and wild animals will eat them. I will punish her for offering incense on the feast days of the ba‘alim, when she decked herself with her earrings and jewels, pursuing her lovers and forgetting me,” says Adonai. “But now I am going to woo her — I will bring her out to the desert and I will speak to her heart. I will give her her vineyards from there and the Akhor Valley as a gateway to hope. She will respond there as she did when young, as she did when she came up from Egypt. On that day,” says Adonai “you will call me Ishi [My Husband]; you will no longer call me Ba‘ali [My Master]. For I will remove the names of the ba‘alim from her mouth; they will never again be mentioned by name. When that day comes, I will make a covenant for them with the wild animals, the birds in the air and the creeping things of the earth. I will break bow and sword, sweep battle from the land, and make them lie down securely. I will betroth you to me forever; yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in grace and in compassion; I will betroth you to me in faithfulness, and you will know Adonai. Hoshea 2:3(1)-22(20) (CJB)

The Prophet Hoshea, whose name means Salvation, is a messenger to the house of Isra’el; the ten tribes of the Northern Kingdom … this is not the house of Y’hudah/Judah. A divorce is being decreed (red) by Yah against Efraim, the ten tribes, for their adultery/idolatry. The appointed times being spoken against here, are not the ones Moshe instructs all Isra’el to keep in Vayikra/Leviticus chapter 23 … because the house of Isra’el is keeping feasts that are in homage to Ba’al – not Yah. Do not forget, the house of Y’hudah was not divorced by the Eternal. If we do not keep this in mind, then we will not understand Y’shua stating “he was only sent for the lost sheep of the house of Isra’el”, the divorced wife. This is not about Y’hudah’s faithfulness, but the Almighty’s promise.

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me: “Come, I will show you the judgment on the great prostitute who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality, and earth’s inhabitants were made drunk with the wine of her sexual immorality.” And he carried me away in the power of the spirit into a wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet-colored wild beast that was full of blasphemous names and that had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and she was adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, and she had in her hand a golden cup that was full of disgusting things and the unclean things of her sexual immorality. On her forehead was written a name, a mystery: “Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes and of the disgusting things of the earth.” And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. Well, on seeing her I was greatly amazed.
Chazon/Revelation 17:1-6 (NWT)

And after these things, I saw another Angel come down from heaven, having great power, so that the earth was lightened with his glory, And he cried out mightily with a loud voice, saying, It is fallen, it is fallen, Babylon that great city, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of all foul spirits, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunken of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich of the abundance of her pleasures. And I heard another voice from heaven say, Go out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues: For her sins are come up into heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her, even as she hath rewarded you, and give her double according to her works: and in the cup that she hath filled to you, fill her the double. Inasmuch as she glorified herself, and lived in pleasure, so much give ye to her torment and sorrow: for she saith in her heart, I sit being a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no mourning. Therefore shall her plagues come at one day, death, and sorrow, and famine, and she shall be burnt with fire: for that God which condemneth her, is a strong Lord, And the kings of the earth shall bewail her, and lament for her, which have committed fornication, and lived in pleasure with her, when they shall see that smoke of that her burning, And shall stand afar off for fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city: for in one hour is thy judgment come. And the merchants of the earth shall weep and wail over her: for no man buyeth their ware anymore. The ware of gold, and silver, and of precious stone, and of pearls, and of fine linen, and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet, and of all manner of Thynewood, and of all vessels of ivory, and of all vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and of iron, and of marble, And of cinnamon, and odors, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and servants, and souls of men. (And the apples that thy soul lusted after, are departed from thee, and all things which were fat and excellent, are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more.) The merchants of these things which were waxed rich, shall stand afar off from her, for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing. And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen and purple, and scarlet, and gilded with gold, and precious stones, and pearls. For in one hour so great riches are come to desolation. And every shipmaster, and all the people that occupy ships and shipmen, and whosoever traffic on the sea, shall stand afar off. And cry, when they see that smoke of that her burning, saying, What city was like unto this great city? And they shall cast dust on their heads, and cry, weeping, and wailing, and say, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships on the sea by her coastlines: for in one hour she is made desolate. O heaven, rejoice of her, and ye holy Apostles and Prophets: for God hath punished her, to be revenged on her for your sakes. Then a mighty Angel took up a stone, like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, With such violence shall that great city Babylon be cast and shall be found no more. Chazon 18:1-21 (GNV)

Sadly most of the house of Isra’el/Efraim are in denial that they are part of the whore mentioned in the writings of Hoshea and Chazon. These are the individuals being called out of the overall whore of Babylon. In this instance, Babylon is not a place … but a mindset. The thought line is we can do anything we want and it is okay. Is that what it means to have Y’shua’s testimony? We do not think so as this would be contradicting the Teachers own message … “I only speak my Father’s words”.
