The Tree Of Life

“And I shall give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clad in sackcloth.” These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that are standing before the Elohim of the earth. And if anyone wishes to harm them, fire comes out from their mouth and consumes their enemies. And if anyone wishes to harm them, he has to be killed in that way. These possess authority to shut the heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy. And they possess authority over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they wish. And when they have ended their witness, the beast coming up out of the pit of the deep shall fight against them, and overcome them, and kill them, and their dead bodies lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Seḏom and Mitsrayim, where also our Master was impaled, and some of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations see their dead bodies for three and a half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be placed into tombs, and those dwelling on the earth rejoice over them and exult. And they shall send gifts to each other, because these two prophets tortured those dwelling on the earth. And after the three and a half days a spirit of life from Elohim entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. And they heard a loud voice from the heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up into the heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. Chazon/Revelation 11:3-12 (ISR98)

“One witness does not rise up against a man concerning any crookedness or any sin that he commits. At the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses a matter is established. When a malicious witness rises up against any man to accuse him of turning aside, then both men who have the dispute shall stand before יהוה, before the priests and the judges who serve in those days. And the judges shall diligently search and see if the witness is a false witness, who has falsely accused his brother, then you shall do to him as he thought to have done to his brother. Thus you shall purge the evil from your midst. And let the rest hear and fear, and never again do this evil matter in your midst. And let your eye not pardon, life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.” D’varim/Deuteronomy 19:15-21 (ISR98)

“But beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are savage wolves. By their fruits you shall know them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles? So every good tree yields good fruit, but a rotten tree yields wicked fruit. A good tree is unable to yield wicked fruit, and a rotten tree to yield good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, by their fruits you shall know them – Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens. Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’ And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’” Mattityahu/Matthew 7:15-23 (ISR98)

My son, do not forget my Torah, And let your heart watch over my commands; For length of days and long life And peace they add to you. Let not kindness and truth forsake you – Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, Thus finding favour and good insight In the eyes of Elohim and man. Trust in יהוה with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; Know Him in all your ways, And He makes all your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear יהוה and turn away from evil. It is healing to your navel, And moistening to your bones. Esteem יהוה with your goods, And with the first-fruits of all your increase; Then your storehouses shall be filled with plenty, And your vats overflow with new wine. My son, do not despise the discipline of יהוה, And do not loathe His reproof; For whom יהוה loves He reproves, As a father the son whom he delights in. Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, And the man who gets understanding; For the gain from it is better Than gain from silver, And its increase than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, And all your delights are not comparable to her. Length of days is in her right hand, Riches and esteem in her left hand. Her ways are pleasant ways, And all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those taking hold of her, And blessed are all who retain her. יהוה founded the earth by wisdom; He established the heavens by understanding; By His knowledge the depths were broken up, And clouds drop down dew. My son, let them not depart from your eyes; Watch over sound wisdom and discretion; Then they become life to your being And an adorning to your neck. Then you would walk safely in your way, And your foot would not stumble. When you lie down, you need not be afraid. And you shall lie down and your sleep shall be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden dread, Nor of the ruin of the wrong when it comes; For יהוה is at your side, And He shall guard your foot from being caught. Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, When it is in the power of your hand to do so. Do not say to your neighbour, “Go, and come back, and tomorrow I give it,” When you have it with you. Do not plan evil against your neighbour, Seeing he dwells safely beside you. Do not strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no evil. Do not envy a cruel man, And choose none of his ways; For the perverse one is an abomination to יהוה, And His secret counsel is with the straight. The curse of יהוה is on the house of the wrong, But He blesses the home of the righteous. He certainly scoffs the scoffers, But gives favour to the humble. The wise do inherit esteem, But fools are bearing away shame! Mishlei/Proverbs 3:1-35 (ISR98)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim. He was in the beginning with Elohim. All came to be through Him, and without Him not even one came to be that came to be. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Yochanan/John 1:1-5 (ISR98)

“The Elohim of Aḇraham, and of Yitsḥaq, and of Ya‛aqoḇ, the Elohim of our fathers, esteemed His Servant יהושע, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him. But you denied the Set-apart and Righteous One, and asked that a man, a murderer, be granted you. But you killed the Leader of life, whom Elohim raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. And by the belief in His Name, this one whom you see and know, His Name made strong, and the belief which comes through Him has given him this perfect healing before all of you. And now, brothers, I know that you did it in ignorance, as your rulers did too. But this is how Elohim has filled what He had announced beforehand through the mouth of all the prophets, that His Messiah was to suffer. Repent therefore and turn back, for the blotting out of your sins, in order that times of refreshing might come from the presence of the Master, and that He sends יהושע Messiah, pre-appointed for you, whom heaven needs to receive until the times of restoration of all matters, of which Elohim spoke through the mouth of all His set-apart prophets since of old. For Mosheh truly said to the fathers, ‘יהוה your Elohim shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear according to all matters, whatever He says to you. And it shall be that every being who does not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ And likewise, all the prophets who have spoken, from Shemu’ĕl and those following, have also announced these days. You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which Elohim made with our fathers, saying to Aḇraham, ‘And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.’ To you first, Elohim, having raised up His Servant יהושע, sent Him to bless you, in turning away each one of you from your wicked ways.”
Ma’asei/Acts 3:13-26 (ISR98)

By speaking and living contrary to Torah is how the Prince of Life is killed, a tree chopped down cannot bare fruit at all.
