How Do Ewe Walk?

ALEPH: Blessed are the upright in the way, who walk in the Torah ofYAHWEH. Blessed are those keeping His Testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart. They also do not work evil; they walk in His way. You have commanded to carefully keep Your Precepts. O that my ways were fixed to keep Your Statutes! Then I shall not be ashamed, when I look to all Your Commandments. I will thank You with integrity of heart, in my learning the judgments of Your righteousness. I will keep Your Statutes; do not forsake me utterly. Tehillim/Psalms 119:1-8 (HRB)

Clearly the above Psalm is magnifying the instructions of the Almighty. The Torah (B’resheit/Genesis, Sh’mot/Exodus, Vayikra/Leviticus, B’midbar/Numbers, D’varim/Deuteronomy) is the account and directions given by יהוה to Isra’el so that they may come to know the character of the Father. To be the people chosen by the King, to be His representatives among the nations. As His ambassadors we must share His qualities and values. As a reflection of the light we should be striving to represent our Monarch to the best of our abilities. A kingdom only functions when it abides within the rulers guidelines.

What king we serve determines what dominion we are part of. Any people who rebel against their ruler cannot be in Echad/Union with that realm. Y’shua states this: Then there was brought to him one possessed by a demon, blind and mute, and he healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw. All the multitudes were amazed, and said, “Can this be the son of David?” But when the Perushim heard it, they said, “This man does not cast out demons, except by Ba’al-Zibbul, the prince of the demons.” Knowing their thoughts, Yeshua said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Hasatan casts out Hasatan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? If I by Ba’al-Zibbul cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come on you. Mattityahu/Matthew 12:22-28 (HNV) A demon is an entity of lower authority in the Kingdom of Yah, even they must answer to the King.

Therefore a government cannot have two standards for its citizens. This would create an unsustainable system as preference could be given to whomever the authority might randomly choose. “When you have come to that land that Yahweh your God [is] giving to you and you have taken possession of it and you have settled in it, and you say, ‘I will set over me a king like all the nations that [are] around me,’ indeed, you may set a king over you whom Yahweh your God will choose, from the midst of your countrymen you must set a king over you; you are not allowed to appoint over you a man, a foreigner, who [is] not your countryman. Except, he may {not make numerous} for himself horses, and he may not allow the people to [to go] to Egypt {in order to increase horses}, for Yahweh has said to you that {you may never return}. And he must not {acquire many} wives for himself, so that his heart [would] turn aside; and {he must not accumulate silver and gold for himself excessively}. “{And then} {when he is sitting} on the throne of his kingdom, then he shall write for himself a copy of this law on a scroll {before} the Levitical priests. And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to revere Yahweh your God by {diligently observing} all the word of this law and these rules, [so as] not to exalt his heart above his countrymen and not to turn aside from the commandment to the right or to the left, so that {he may reign long over his kingdom}, he and his children in the midst of Israel.”
D’varim 17:14-20 (LEB)

How many stop to consider the violation of this precept has led us to our current situation? No nation on the face of this planet is in this Kingdom at this time. All of the nations on the earth have instituted human conduct rules based on our own shortcomings. We have sought to justify our own moral standards in opposition to YHWH’s. Where in Scripture does it give any of us the right to determine things such as, what man and woman can marry each other? This idea originated among the kings of the world, so that they could hold their subjects in bondage. The marriage license is found nowhere in the Word of Yah/Bible. Marriage is ordained by the Father … no piece of paper can ever mandate His concept of a marital union. Likewise there is no instruction requiring us to engage in a ceremony, to validate an arrangement between a man and a woman.

To many times people assume that the way we live, in our modern culture, is totally validated in Scripture. Are we guilty of adding to or taking from the instructions the Almighty gives us? If so … then we are criminals, according to the standards of the Monarchy of Sh’mayim/Heaven. Remember Y’shua stated that the Kingdom is at hand. What this means is, we are to be living the instructions as we learn them. Then the whole assembly kept still as they listened to Bar-Nabba and Sha’ul tell what signs and miracles God had done through them among the Gentiles. Ya’akov broke the silence to reply. “Brothers,” he said, “hear what I have to say. Shim’on has told in detail what God did when he first began to show his concern for taking from among the Goyim a people to bear his name. And the words of the Prophets are in complete harmony with this for it is written, ‘”After this, I will return; and I will rebuild the fallen tent of David. I will rebuild its ruins, I will restore it, so that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, that is, all the Goyim who have been called by my name,” says ADONAI, who is doing these things.’ All this has been known for ages. “Therefore, my opinion is that we should not put obstacles in the way of the Goyim who are turning to God. Instead, we should write them a letter telling them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from fornication, from what is strangled and from blood. For from the earliest times, Moshe has had in every city those who proclaim him, with his words being read in the synagogues every Shabbat.”
Acts 15:12-21 (CJB)

Therefore be imitators of God, as dearly loved children; and walk in love, just as Messiah also loved us and gave Himself up for us as an offering and sacrifice to God for a fragrant aroma. But sexual immorality and any impurity or greed—don’t even let these be mentioned among you, as is proper for kedoshim. Obscene, coarse, and stupid talk are also out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. Know for certain that no immoral, indecent, or greedy person—who is really an idol worshipper at heart—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Messiah and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s judgment comes on the children of disobedience. Therefore do not be partners with them. For once you were darkness, but now in union with the Lord you are light. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Ephesians 5:1-10 (TLV)

Reflecting Elohim/Authority means that our lives are pictures of the character of Yah. If the Eternal established a way for Isra’el to flourish and be nurtured, then why should we desire to cast a different image than that of the Father. At that time the Ḥanukkah came to be in Yerushalayim, and it was winter. And יהושע was walking in the Set-apart Place, in the porch of Shelomoh. So the Yehuḏim surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in suspense? If You are the Messiah, say to us plainly.” יהושע answered them, “I have told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s Name, they bear witness concerning Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them everlasting life, and they shall by no means ever perish, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. And no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” Again the Yehuḏim picked up stones to stone Him. יהושע answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. Because of which of these works do you stone Me?” The Yehuḏim answered Him, saying, “We do not stone You for a good work, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself Elohim.” יהושע answered them, “Is it not written in your own Torah, ‘I said, “You are elohim” ’? If He called them elohim, to whom the word of Elohim came – and it is impossible for the Scripture to be broken – do you say of Him whom the Father set apart and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of Elohim’? If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” Yochanan/John 10:22-38 (ISR98)

Some of Y’shua’s statements are so misunderstood, they are completely taken out of context, as in the following:

  • Being one with the Father does not mean he is the Father
  • Elohim has to do with authority, where it comes from, and who can access it
  • Son of Elohim does not mean he is the biological offspring of Yah

Distorting the meaning, implied in context, has allowed deception to slip into the beliefs of many. That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life (and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us); that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Yeshua the Messiah. Yochanan Alef/1 John 1:1-3 (WMB) The Word is Torah and is manifested in the flesh of Y’shua, what this means is that the instructions were lived by the Master. If Y’shua had not obeyed the Father, he could not have been the Prophet Moshe spoke of in Torah.

Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. I took an oath, and I will keep it. I took an oath to follow your regulations, which are based on your righteousness. I have suffered so much. Give me a new life, O Yahweh, as you promised. Please accept the praise I gladly give you, O Yahweh, and teach me your regulations. I always take my life into my own hands, but I never forget your teachings. Wicked people have set a trap for me, but I have never wandered away from your guiding principles. Your written instructions are mine forever. They are the joy of my heart. I have decided to obey your laws. They offer a reward that never ends. Tehillim 119:105-112 (NOG)

So … whose words are a light to our paths? If those words are not the Father’s, then whose are they? Y’shua told us more then once, he only spoke his Father’s words. Those words are the Torah.

Shalom Aleichem!
