Do Ewe Know The Covenant?

Then said Jehovah unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or not. And it shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily. Sh’mot/Exodus 16:4-5 (ASV)

And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, “I have heard the grumblings of the {Israelites}. Speak to them, saying, ‘{At twilight} you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be full [with] bread, and you will know that I [am] Yahweh your God.'” And so it was, in the evening, the quail came up and covered the camp, and in the morning, a layer of dew was all around the camp. And the layer of dew came up, {and there} on the face of the desert was a fine granular substance, fine like frost on the ground. And the {Israelites} saw, and they said {to each other}, “What [is] this?” because they did not know what it [was]. And Moses said to them, “That [is] the bread that Yahweh has given to you as food. This [is] the word that Yahweh commanded, ‘Gather from it, {each according to what he can eat}, an omer per person [according to] the number of you. You each shall take [enough] for whoever [is] in his tent.'” And the {Israelites} did so, and they gathered, some more and some less. And [when] they measured with the omer, the one gathering more had no surplus, and the one gathering less had no lack; they gathered {each according to what he could eat}. And Moses said to them, “Let no one leave any of it until morning.” But they did not listen to Moses. Some people left [some] of it until morning, and it bred worms and stank. And Moses was angry with them. And they gathered it morning by morning, {each according to what he could eat}, and it melted [when] the sun was hot. And when it was the sixth day, they gathered twice [as much] bread, two omers for one [person], and all the leaders of the community came and told Moses. And he said to them, “This is what Yahweh has said. Tomorrow [is] a rest period, a holy Sabbath for Yahweh. Bake what you [want to] bake, and boil what you [want to] boil. Put aside all the surplus for yourselves for safekeeping until the morning.” And they put it aside until the morning, as Moses had commanded, and it did not make a stench, and not a maggot was in it. And Moses said, “Eat it today, because today is a Sabbath for Yahweh. Today you will not find it in the field. Six days you will gather it, but on the seventh day, [the] Sabbath, it will not be [present] on it.” And on the seventh day [some] of the people went out to gather, and they did not find [any]. And Yahweh said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to keep my commands and my laws? See, because Yahweh has given to you the Sabbath, therefore he is giving to you on the sixth day bread for two days. Stay, {each in his location}; let no one go from his place on the seventh day.” And the people rested on the seventh day. Sh’mot 16:11-30 (LEB)

The above account demonstrates that Yah is establishing the Seventh Day, especially in regard to Isra’el. The rest of the world is not being given this lesson, only those who came out of Egypt and were at Har/Mount Sinai. This will be an ongoing theme for the 12 tribes and those who join them.

Let us now delve into the further instructions, the Eternal provides Moshe, for B’nei/Children of Isra’el. “Remember Yom Shabbat, to keep it holy. You are to work six days, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Shabbat to Adonai your God. In it you shall not do any work—not you, nor your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, your cattle, nor the outsider that is within your gates. For in six days Adonai made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Thus Adonai blessed Yom Shabbat, and made it holy. Sh’mot 20:8-11 (TLV) Remember WE are to set the day apart to acknowledge that Yah made the heavens and the earth. To many times we forget we are made from the dust of the earth. Keeping Shabat proclaims we know we are created … we can die.

If we are Isra’el, we are not to require those who labor for us to work on Shabat. This goes back to the first Commandment: “I am ADONAI your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the abode of slavery. You are to have no other gods before me.” Sh’mot 20:2-3 (CJB) Compare this to D’varim/Deuteronomy 6:4-5: Hear, O Israel, YAHWEH our Elohim is YAHWEH echad. And you shall love YAHWEH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. (HRB) How do we show honor to the Almighty Father, if we disregard the most frequent time he desires us to acknowledge.

“For six days you will do your work, but on the seventh day you must not work. Then your ox and donkey can rest. The slaves born in your household and foreigners will also be refreshed. Be careful to do everything I told you. Never mention the names of other gods or let them be heard on your lips. Three times a year you must celebrate a pilgrimage festival in my honor. Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread: For seven days you must eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Abib, because that was when you left Egypt. No one may come into my presence without an offering. Celebrate the Festival of the Harvest with the first produce harvested from whatever you plant in your fields. Celebrate the Festival of the Final Harvest at the end of the year when you harvest your crops from the fields. These are the three times each year that all your men must come into the presence of Adonay, Yahweh.” Sh’mot 23:12-17 (NOG)

Yah has appointed 8 Mo’edim/Gathering times during each year. One occurs every week, while the other 7 take place once a year. Where to assemble is instructed by how frequently the Set Apart occasion takes place. The more often we congregate the less distance we are to travel. Only 3 times every cycle is Isra’el required to meet at one specific location. These times can only be fully kept by those in the Promised Land by residents or visitors. Everyone else is simply acknowledging the Authority of Yah by observing the Mo’edim … we are rehearsing, in preparation, for the future.

And Hashem spoke unto Moshe, saying, Speak thou also unto the Bnei Yisroel, saying, Verily My Shabbatot ye shall be shomer over; for it is an ot (sign) between Me and you throughout your dorot; that ye may have da’as that I am Hashem Who doth set thee apart as kodesh. Ye shall be shomer Shabbos therefore; for it is kodesh unto you; every one that is chillul Shabbos (desecrates Shabbos) shall surely be put to death; for whosoever doeth any work therein, that nefesh shall be cut off from among his people. Sheshet yamim may work be done; but in the Yom HaShevi’i is Shabbos HaShabbaton, kodesh to Hashem; whosoever doeth any work in the Yom HaShabbos, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the Bnei Yisroel shall be shomer Shabbos, to observe Shabbos throughout their dorot, for a brit olam. It is an ot between Me and the Bnei Yisroel l’olam; for in sheshet yamim Hashem made Shomayim and HaAretz, and on Yom HaShevi’i He rested (shavat, ceased working), and was refreshed. The Seventh Day is declared by the Eternal to be a permanent Covenant sign between Himself and His people Isra’el. This time is to be guarded by the descendants of Ya’akov forever. Anyone who does not keep it Kodesh/Holy is a gentile who is in another covenant. Therefore the RENEWED/NEW COVENANT is only contracted with the 12 tribes of Isra’el and any who join them. Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, says Yahweh. Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 31:31-32 (WEB) This passage is referenced in Ivrim/Hebrews 8:8-9.

Let us examine the recording in Acts chapter 15:1-21: Some men came down from Yehudah and taught the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moshe, you can’t be saved.” Therefore when Sha’ul and Bar-Nabba had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Sha’ul and Bar-Nabba, and some others of them, to go up to Yerushalayim to the apostles and Zakenim about this question. They, being sent on their way by the assembly, passed through both Phoenicia and Shomron, declaring the conversion of the Goyim. They caused great joy to all the brothers. When they had come to Yerushalayim, they were received by the assembly and the apostles and the Zakenim, and they reported all things that God had done with them. But some of the sect of the Perushim who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to charge them to keep the law of Moshe.” The apostles and the Zakenim were gathered together to see about this matter. When there had been much discussion, Kefa rose up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made choice among you, that by my mouth the Goyim should hear the word of the Good News, and believe. God, who knows the heart, testified about them, giving them the Ruach HaKodesh, just like he did to us. He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith. Now therefore why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the talmidim which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Yeshua, just as they are.” All the multitude kept silence, and they listened to Bar-Nabba and Sha’ul reporting what signs and wonders God had done among the Goyim through them. After they were silent, Ya’akov answered, “Brothers, listen to me. Shim’on has reported how God first visited the Goyim, to take out of them a people for his name. This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written, ‘After these things I will return. I will again build the tent of David, which has fallen. I will again build its ruins. I will set it up, That the rest of men may seek after the Lord; All the Goyim who are called by my name, Says the Lord, who does all these things. All his works are known to God from eternity.’ “Therefore my judgment is that we don’t trouble those from among the Goyim who turn to God, but that we write to them that they abstain from the pollution of idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood. For Moshe from generations of old has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every Shabbat.” (HNV)

The fallen tent of David pertains to the 12 tribes of Isra’el and no other entities. This is one of many declarations made by Yah to the Prophets concerning the restoration of the two houses into one. Once an individual joins with Isra’el, they are no longer gentiles, however they are now under the same rules as the progeny of Ya’akov. This thought line is contained in the letter of Sha’ul/Paul to the Romans when he speaks of the grafting into the Olive Tree. Many of the gentiles who will be in-grafted are the Lost Sheep of the House of Isra’el. These masses’ ancestors are the Northern Kingdom who were exiled for their sin. Any that are unaware of this theme throughout Scripture, need to read every word and stop turning it into allegory or metaphor. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 (NKJV) This is a testimonial about the Father who is THE Elohim/Authority above all.

Considering that Mashiach/Messiah is promised to Isra’el … why do people want that figure to represent them, when they do not want to be His people? Only the Hebrew Scriptures promise a deliverer to save his own. Therefore why does anyone believe that this individual will be able to throw out the Word of Yah? In so doing he would be the very definition of a false prophet as described in D’varim chapter 13. If one is promised who will be like Moshe, then that person could not abolish the Torah and the Prophets.

Since the rest of the world was not taken to Har Sinai … they are not under the B’rit/Covenant Isra’el is. One day all humanity will come to the New Yerushalayim to worship Yah. Afterwards they will return home to their work. This is the order established in the beginning before the fall. How will the world know these things if Isra’el is not being a light? Earth is our home and it will also be restored. And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Chazon/Revelation 22:1-2
