This is a continuation of the לחמ teaching.

“After Yeshua had said these things, he looked up toward heaven and said, “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, so that the Son may glorify you — just as you gave him authority over all mankind, so that he might give eternal life to all those whom you have given him. And eternal life is this: to know you, the one true God, and him whom you sent, Yeshua the Messiah.” Yochanan/John 17:1-3 (CJB) The word glorify is the Greek doxazo – meaning to honor, extol, praise, magnify, and would be the Hebrew Kavad – to make weighty, honor, promote, great and abounding. Y’shua is stating in his prayer, essentially the Father has honored the son so that the son might honor the Father. This is based on Y’shua rightly using the authority the Father gave him over humanity. Eternal life therefore is to know Elohim who is true and sent his son Y’shua to represent him. To know is not a mental exercise but to practice the instructions given to us so that we come to know him. Knowing anyone is more than simply being aware of them, so relationship is established by interaction.

“I have esteemed You on the earth, having accomplished the work You have given Me that I should do. And now, esteem Me with Yourself, Father, with the esteem which I had with You before the world was.” Yochanan 17:4-5 (ISR98) Y’shua is reminding Yah that he is honoring him by doing his will, to do otherwise would be satanic. A satan (adversary, opponent) is anyone doing the opposite of what the Father has requested or instructed. Therefore if the Word made flesh is the same Word spoken to Moshe then how could Y’shua do away with himself by nullifying Torah? “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” Yochanan 1:1-5 (NIV) The Hebrew word El, and all its forms, are describing authority; in this sense the authority is from the authority and is in unity with the authority. By this Y’shua can never say or do anything in opposition to the Father or he would be in opposition to himself. Those in mental health fields would describe this as a split personality and is this what people believe Yah is? Also street parlance would call this two faced or double minded.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. B’reshit/Genesis 1:1-5 (ESV) Yochanan has pointed out in his writing that the Word made flesh is also the Creator and by this declaration all instructions to the creation are Y’shua’s words. The same darkness Yochanan mentions is the darkness that was separated from the light in the above scripture. Light is referred to as good so this is why it needs to shine where the darkness is, so that those in the darkness might come to the light. In this sense the light is not just visual but the Truth, the Way, and the Life.

And I John saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people; and God himself with them shall be their God. Hazon/Revelation 21:2-3 (DRA) And I saw no Temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it. And their city hath no need of the Sun, neither of the Moon to shine in it: for the glory of God did light it: and the Lamb is the light of it. And the people which are saved, shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honor unto it. And the gates of it shall not be shut by day: for there shall be no night there. And the glory and honor of the Gentiles shall be brought unto it. And there shall enter into it none unclean thing, neither whatsoever worketh abomination or lies: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Hazon 21:22-27 (GNV)

In the Revelation of Y’shua to Yochanan, the New Yerushalayim is pictured as a bride and that Elohim’s dwelling will be with men and his authority will be with them forever. There is no building needed for a temple, for Elohim is the Temple along with the Lamb. The city does not require the sun or the moon as Elohim’s glory/Sh’khinah provides the light which shines from the lamp that is the Lamb. Gentiles are what the word Nations is referring to as the Greek word is Ethnos. These Gentiles and their kings will bring gifts into the city as they are outside the gates of quote Heaven, of which this is an inaccurate portrayal, then they cannot be in Hell as they can go into the city. No one who is unclean, practices lies, or idolatry can go through the gates; only those whose names are written in the Lambs book of Life. As both those who can and cannot enter the city are both outside the gates where is Hell? If everyone outside the gates are gentiles, what is the difference between them, as obviously Y’shua is telling us there is a difference. If the New Yerushalayim is a place where the Father and the Son are present all the time then even in the idea of Heaven on the Earth shows us that people will be coming and going from the city And it shall be that from one New Moon to another New Moon and from one Sabbath to another Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me, says the Lord. And they shall go forth and gaze upon the dead bodies of the [rebellious] men who have stepped over against Me; for their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all mankind. Yesha’yahu/Isaiah 66:23-24 (AMP) And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. Z’kharyah/Zechariah 14:16-19 (NKJV)

Regarding the passages in the previous paragraph and from the Revelation, if those outside the city are in Hell and those inside are in Heaven, then how come some can freely come and go through the city gates. And if obedience is still required … where is the eternal laziness at? Adam/Humanity was created to work – not rest all the time.

On that day, there will be neither bright light nor thick darkness; and one day, known to Adonai, will be neither day nor night, although by evening there will be light. On that day, fresh water will flow out from Yerushalayim, half toward the eastern sea and half toward the western sea, both summer and winter. Then Adonai will be king over the whole world. On that day Adonai will be the only one, and his name will be the only name. Z’kharyah/Zechariah 14:6-9 (CJB) Notice that water is flowing into seas and there is still summer and winter, what is the deal here as I was taught a bunch of mystical mumbo jumbo about what would come with the return of the Mashiach. Unfortunately none of what I was taught lines up with scripture and gives us a false impression concerning sin and righteousness. Calling on the name of Y’shua or Yah is not repentance as this requires a change of direction in our lives and words do not equal action. Also, how about the seasons and their continued functioning … what is going on here? How come this stuff is not going away as this is referencing the eternal kingdom. Lets look back at a covenant promise; And Noaḥ built an altar to יהוה, and took of every clean beast and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And יהוה smelled a soothing fragrance, and יהוה said in His heart, “Never again shall I curse the ground because of man, although the inclination of man’s heart is evil from his youth, and never again smite all living creatures, as I have done, as long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” B’reshit 8:20-22 (ISR98) The teaching that the New Heaven and New Earth replace and are completely different than the old means that they cannot account for things continuing as from the creation.

Since Yesha’yahu delivers the message of Yah in chapter 66 that we will know when it is Shabat and New Moon then we must still be experiencing time. Of course this is outside the city for the benefit of those who live outside. They will still need the sun, the moon, and the stars for a timepiece. Likewise Z’kharyah points out that those not in the city will require rain so that their crops will grow as this is part of the splendor brought into New Yerushalayim. This is the honor Y’shua is displaying towards the Father, that his Kingdom will be without end. Creation was not inaugurated so that it could be destroyed as Yah himself said that it is good.

“I revealed your name to the people whom you have given me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me. They have kept your word. Now they have known that all things whatever you have given me are from you, for the words which you have given me I have given to them, and they received them, and knew for sure that I came forth from you, and they believed that you sent me. I pray for them. I don’t pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.” Yochanan 17:6-9 (HNV) Here Y’shua replies to the Father that what he has been entrusted with, he still has in his possession. He clearly points out that they have been obedient in their walk and they realize that everything he has told them is Yah’s will. Since Y’shua is the Word spoken to Moshe on Sinai, those words are the same ones given to his talmidim. Most importantly Y’shua expresses his prayer is for his people, not the world. This in no way negates what he tells Nakdimon/Nicodemus that Yah is not willing that any should perish but that they could be saved from destruction. And this salvation requires trusting him thereby trusting in the Word which is the same word Moshe was charged with delivering to Isra’el.

“I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one. They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, so that they also may be sanctified in truth. I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” Yochanan 17:14-21 (NRS) Once again, the Master in speaking with his Father and points out that he has given them Yah’s Word and the World hates them for it because his Kingdom is different than what they want. He also asks that Elohim will protect them, not remove them from the world. Y’shua also acknowledges that he has set himself apart, so that they also may be set apart in the truth. The point of this section of his prayer is that the world will know that the Father sent him because he is just like his Father. Once again the son is declaring he does not contradict Yah as this would make him different than the Father; which would mean that they could not be one. To be one means to be no different than another, this is what Echad/Unified means. Humanity would recognize Y’shua, as the son of Yah, because he is like his Father.

“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.” Yochanan 17:25-26 (NIV) Unfortunately the NIV did not insert the Greek word number 3686 onoma meaning name as Mashiach is telling us that he is making his Father’s name known. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. Yochanan 17:26 (KJV) Knowing the name is important as this is how we know which entity we are addressing as even angelic beings apparently can respond to verbal conversations. This seems to be validated as Yah told us time and time again not to call upon the names of other Elohim as they may be able to respond. Instruction to not call upon other els would make no sense if they could not answer. If we are going to call upon the Elohei of Isra’el, we better be sure we are addressing the being we actually want to contact; otherwise we might be in for a big surprise.

What if a major concept believed by many as Biblical then the ever burning Hell would be a prison, not a place where quote demonic beings roam free. If Hell is the place so many believe the sinners end up in then if they do not have blood or breath, how would they feel the torment as they cannot be alive. The idea of Eternal Hell does not receive scriptural backing anywhere in the Torah. This premise was devised to keep members in line with church doctrine to instill fear to comply with men’s dogma. And when the thousand years have ended, Satan shall be released from his prison, and he shall go out to lead the nations astray which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog̅ and Mag̅og̅, to gather them together for battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. And they came up over the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the set-apart ones and the beloved city. And fire came down from Elohim out of the heaven and consumed them. And the devil, who led them astray, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet are. And they shall be tortured day and night forever and ever. And I saw a great white throne and Him who was sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged from what was written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. And the death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And if anyone was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Hazon 20:7-15 (ISR98)

The concept of going to Heaven or Hell is based on the pagan idea of an immortal soul. This idea is contradicted in B’reshit 2:15-17 (NLT) The LORD God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and care for it. But the LORD God gave him this warning: “You may freely eat any fruit in the garden except fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat of its fruit, you will surely die.” If Adam and Chavah/Eve were immortal souls this would be an empty warning as they would not actually die. Since this is a false teaching the following is actually the truth and it will set you free … And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. And the man called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. And Jehovah God made for Adam and for his wife coats of skins, and clothed them. And Jehovah God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever– therefore Jehovah God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden the Cherubim, and the flame of a sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. B’reshit 3:17-24 (ASV) Were human beings immortal souls then why would Yah cut us off from the tree of life and put a guard at its entrance to make sure that we could not return in our sinful state and have Eternal Life. It is no coincidence that the Tree of Life is not mentioned in this fashion again until the restoration of the Kingdom in Revelation 22.

He put before them another parable, saying The kingdom of Heaven is compared to a man sowing good seed in his fields. But while the men were sleeping, an enemy came and sowed tares in the midst of the wheat, and went away. And when the blade sprouted and produced fruit, then the tare also appeared. And coming near, the slaves of the house Master said to him, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? Then from where does it have the tares? And he said to them, A man, an enemy did this. And the slaves said to him, do you desire, then, that going out we should gather them? But he said, No, lest gathering the tares you should uproot the wheat with them. Allow both to grow together until the harvest. And in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, First gather the tares, and bind them into bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my granary.
Mattityahu/Matthew 13:24-30 (HRB)
In this parable Y’shua is comparing humanity to wheat and tares (weeds), in which the wheat is his obedient people and the tares are not his people. The tares are of no value as they produce nothing useful for the Kingdom and are thrown into the fire to be permanently destroyed, not to burn forever. All the field is harvested at the same time, then sorted according to which plant is valuable. This is comparable to Revelation 20 at the White Throne Judgment.

So who is Yeshua praying for in the garden? He says his own, not the world and this is where many people get thrown for a loop as they do not understand who his people are. The criteria that the Master constantly emphasizes is according to what his Father has established as to what his reign is about.

I do not know about you but I do not want to assume something that I cannot verify in Torah is the truth. Grace and Mercy are part of his plan but should never be taken for granted as that elevates us above His Throne. Lawlessness is something the Kingdom does not brook and those who think sin is not a factor in judgment are not believing Y’shua. Future sin is not already addressed and is a damnable, heretical teaching and assumes our sin does not have to be forgiven. Repentance means to turn around and go in the right direction and cannot be achieved by spouting a prayer. If Y’shua has come into our flesh, then it will show in our lives; otherwise he does not dwell in us because we do not dwell in him. Life is an action, not some gobbly gook philosophical brain game. When we truly seek a relationship with our Maker, it has to be internal and external otherwise it has no logical expression. We cannot eat food without putting it into our bodies, the Word must also be digested physically and mentally. As we are complex creatures, we need to feed every aspect of our being lest we starve.

Many people do not like the idea of works as they have been taught … you cannot be saved by what you do. This is true, however works have nothing to do with salvation but with obedience; which is a completely different part of the relationship with Yah. Confusing the two with being the same is why so many people have been led down the broad path instead of the narrow. If scripture describes a remnant then why do so many join a multitude to pervert justice. Which camp do you want to be in? As for me and my house we will serve Yah – this phrase was uttered by Y’hoshua/Joshua in the last days of his life. He was expressing this to his people as a challenge for them to be faithful to Yah. Should we do less?
